Mr. Flynn was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Christian Brothers College Military High School (C.B.C.). Thereafter, he attended St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he majored in Corporate Finance. He graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University’s School of Commerce and Finance. Mr. Flynn obtained his legal education at St. Louis University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor degree in 1973.
Following graduation from law school, Mr. Flynn worked briefly in the private practice of law before accepting a position in 1975 as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney on the trial staff of the Office of the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney. During his tenure on the trial staff Mr. Flynn tried numerous felony and misdemeanor jury trials, gaining valuable trial experience that he has been able to draw upon in his subsequent private practice. In 1977, Mr. Flynn resigned his position as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney to join his present firm where he been engaged in the general civil and criminal practice of law.
From 1981 to 1987, in addition to his full time practice of law, Mr. Flynn served in the capacity of Prosecuting Attorney and subsequently as a Municipal Judge, for the City of Northwoods, Missouri. Mr. Flynn has served from time to time as an Administrative Hearing Officer for the St. Louis County Board of Police Commissioners for cases regarding employee appeals of disciplinary measures. On occasion he also serves as a Court appointed Commissioner for real estate condemnation proceedings.
Mr. Flynn has been a practicing attorney since 1973. He has devoted the majority of his time to helping injured clients and their family members pursue claims for damages and compensation for personal injury and wrongful death and has been inducted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization whose membership is limited to trial lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional skill, experience and excellence in advocacy by achieving a trial verdict, award or settlement in the amount of One Million Dollars or more.
Mr. Flynn has represented clients for personal injury and wrongful death resulting from many different causes including:
- The Medical Malpractice of physicians, hospitals or other health care providers;
- Injuries caused by consumer or industrial products (product liability) that are dangerous by reason of defective manufacture or negligent design, or by reason of manufacturers failing to provide adequate warning or guarding devices, including products such as defective automobiles, boats and other recreational vehicles, saws, punch presses, augers, various other industrial machinery and equipment, toxic exposure to industrial or consumer chemical products or poisons, or caused by prescription drugs and pharmaceutical products, etc;
- Industrial and other workplace injuries (Workers’ Compensation);
- Injuries caused by Trucks and Trucking Companies;
- Automobile and Motorcycle collisions;
- Premises liability-slip and falls, stairway and railing defects, etc.

Because of his experience as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Mr. Flynn has frequently been called upon throughout his years in private practice to represent individuals facing charges within the criminal justice system. On a selective basis he accepts clients charged in both state and federal courts with misdemeanors and felonies ranging in nature from driving while intoxicated, “white collar” crime, to manslaughter.
As noted above, Mr. Flynn has been inducted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Membership in this organization is limited to trial lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional skill, experience and excellence in advocacy by achieving a trial verdict, award or settlement in the amount of One Million Dollars or more. Mr. Flynn also holds an “AV” Peer Review Rating, the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell. An AV rating is a registered certification mark of Martindale-Hubbell that is issued as a testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank hiim or her at the highest level of professional excellence. In addition, Mr. Flynn is a member of the Missouri Bar Association and is licensed to practice before all Missouri State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the American Association For Justice, The Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the St. Louis County Bar Association and the Lawyers’ Association of Greater St. Louis.
